Nirou (former Newsec Energy Transition) proudly supported Tavion as exclusive financial adviser on its €34 million equity raise – part of a €50 million financing package, including €16 million of debt, funding the company’s first battery energy storage parks in Poland. The raise is part of a larger mandate aimed at supporting Tavion’s rapid scale-up in Poland and beyond.
The round was co-led by Leitmotif and Oberon Capital Management AB, with continued backing from existing investors BackingMinds and Course Corrected, and closed above target – taking its first three parks into construction now, ahead of schedule and breaking ground within weeks. The projects sit within Tavion’s 184 MW ready-to-build portfolio, backed by a 1.7 GW pipeline.
Poland is at the center of Europe’s storage build-out: rapid demand growth from industry and data centers, paired with a grid transitioning away from coal, is making flexibility through storage essential. Tavion’s platform is positioned to deliver exactly that.
Omid Ashrafi, Founding Partner at Nirou, commented:
“We are proud to have supported Tavion and are very impressed by the team’s rapid scale-up, approaching a business with significant cash flows already in 2027. We look forward to continued work with the team and to follow their exciting journey ahead. I believe that Tavion is addressing the right market, at the right time and with the right set of capabilities.”
