Nirou is proud to have advised the bankruptcy estate of Aldermyrberget AB on the sale of its 71 MW operational onshore wind farm in northern Sweden to AIP Management, a specialist investor in energy and decarbonisation infrastructure. The transaction closed in June 2026.
Aldermyrberget has been in operation since 2020 and was previously contracted under a baseload PPA with Swedish mining and smelting company Boliden. Together with the 241 MW Överturingen wind farm, it forms the foundation of AIP’s newly established 312 MW Nordic onshore wind portfolio. Nirou advised the estate throughout the process, from preparation and restructuring of the investment case to negotiation and closing.
“Aldermyrberget was a complex transaction, and we appreciated the constructive and professional approach of the Nirou team throughout the process. We would also like to thank Hans Andersson for his pragmatic and solution-oriented handling on behalf of the estate. Together, this contributed to a successful outcome for all parties,” says Alfonso Andres, Director, Investments at AIP Management.
“The Nirou-team, led by Korosh Sahami, has been an invaluable support in an in many ways challanging sales process. Nirou have generously shared their expertise and experience and their contribution has been instrumental for the successful completion of the transaction. I am very satisfied with the outcome”, says Hans Andersson, bankruptcy trustee of Aldermyrberget AB.
“Aldermyrberget is a high-quality operating asset that, with the right commercial structure, has a strong long-term outlook. We are pleased to have delivered a solid result for the estate while securing a committed long-term owner in AIP. We would like to thank Hans Andersson for his confidence in us and everyone involved for the constructive collaboration. This is our third transaction with the AIP team, and we look forward to continuing to build our track record together”, says Omid Ashrafi, Founding Partner at Nirou.
